Refund policy

How cancellations and refunds work for the Day pass and for the Pro subscription, including your rights as an EU consumer.

Last updated: 2026-10-23

1. Summary

2. Day pass

The Day pass is a one-time payment of EUR 9 that unlocks the Day pass features for 24 hours from purchase. It does not renew. It is supplied immediately. Once your Day pass has been activated we do not refund it for change of mind. We will refund it, or extend it, if a technical fault on our side prevented you from using it during the pass, or if you were charged more than once.

3. Subscription (Pro)

Cancelling. Cancel under Manage billing in the app at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current period remains available until it ends. We do not refund the unused part of a period that has already started, except as set out below or where the law requires.

Renewals. If you were charged for a renewal and tell us within 7 days of the charge that you did not mean to continue, and you have not used the paid features since the renewal, we will refund the renewal on request.

Changing plan. Upgrades and downgrades are handled in Manage billing and may be prorated as shown there.

4. EU right of withdrawal and the digital-content waiver

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or a similar jurisdiction, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. For digital content and digital services that are supplied straight away, that right ends once supply has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal. Our checkout asks you to give that consent and acknowledgement before payment, because access to the paid features starts as soon as payment is confirmed.

If you did not give that consent and acknowledgement at checkout, or the information we owed you before purchase was not given, your 14-day right of withdrawal applies in full and you can claim a refund by contacting us within 14 days of purchase. Where you withdraw during the period and the service has partly been supplied, any amount owed for the part used is calculated proportionately as the law provides. These provisions do not limit your statutory rights, including legal guarantees for defective digital content and services.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Email support@tallyscope.app from the address on your account, or include it in your message.
  2. Say which purchase (Day pass or subscription, and the approximate date) and why.
  3. We reply within a few working days. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through Stripe and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

Please do not send statements or other personal documents with a refund request; they are not needed. If a refund is processed, paid features linked to that purchase end.

6. Disputes

If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first so we can fix it quickly. A chargeback through your card issuer remains your right. Where a payment is reversed or disputed, paid access linked to it may be suspended while the dispute is open.

7. Taxes and fees

Refunds are of the amount you paid for the purchase, including any tax charged on it. Bank or currency conversion fees charged by your own bank are outside our control.
